Sealine, Southern Qatar

Dear All,

As promise a update on my Qatar Exploring during Eid al-Fitri Break from 30th September to 4th October 2008. Instead going all the way to Southern part of Qatar; we only manage to proceed 50KM South of Qatar due to some technical problem whereby nobody is clear about the road down Southern of Qatar, becuase from Sealine down wards the road is actually dessert trail. Thus we decided not to go till we have proper GPS Navigation in the future, then we will explore Southern part.

Sealine is located 50KM from Doha. Sealine is beach area, it has a beach resort and a public beach area. Beside beach, nearby it has Sand Dune where All-Terrain Vehicle or 4x4 lover will have there show their skill driving in sandy area. A short video clip is attached to give you an idea of Sand Dune Activities.

I personnly love the Sand Dune activities, I never tried the Sandy Mountain yet but have driven in the sandy flat ground and learned some great lesson over driving in dessert/sandy area. In-order not getting your 4x4 stuck in sandy area, firstly you have to lover your car tyre pressure to 10PSI then only you start your journey in sandy area to prevent yourself stuck in the sandy area, secondly use 4L to gain more speed instead 4H for power .... This are some of the basic knowledge before heading to sandy area/dessert driving ...

Right now, it just matter of time I will arrange a trip to Sealine again for the Sand Dune with the company car and rent a ATV and try on it .... I just can't wait to go only .. but just can't do it right now due to financial tight in Doha now! perhaps will give a try somewhere during winter time ...

Well good news .... weather in Doha is changing towards winter spirit; now the Hottest during day will only reach 36 celcius where as will go down as low as 26 celcius night time. Praise the Lord ... pray that I will get to celebrate Chirstmas this year in Winter ...........

Least but not last, I'll be heading back to Kuala Lumpur real soon ... YES!YES!YES!

Cheers.
Alex Tan

You made a few good points there. I did a search about the topic and almost not got any specific details on other websites, but then happy to be here, really, thanks.
